As you would all be aware, the third quarter of 2014/15 financial year is rapidly drawing to a close which means one thing – it’s budget time!

To all readers who are VAFI members, I would like to take this chance to thank you for your ongoing support. The VAFI team looks forward to continuing to work with you in advocating and promoting outcomes that improve the capacity of businesses to operate and grow well into the future.

For those who are not yet a VAFI member, I would say this: now is the time to get on board.

If you know a business or organisation that isn’t a member and should be, I would encourage you to let me know but more importantly, let them know about us.

Our industry faces a suite of challenges and changes over the coming years and it is crucial that all voices across the supply chain are represented to ensure a dynamic and resilient industry well into the future. VAFI is expected to, and will continue to play a pivotal role in charting this course.

No matter what the change is, we have the power to shift focus onto the things that truly matter in the long term – investment, growth, access. Now is the time to be a part of this discussion.

VAFI’s purpose is to support the forest and wood products industry and its businesses that, in turn, help grow and sustain local, regional and state economies and communities. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?
