To assist in achieving this goal, the Association commenced industry-wide sustainability reporting in 2005 as part of its Vision 2025.
The 2011 Sustainability Report aims to provide an understanding of the Victorian
forest and wood products industry and the role of VAFI as a representative body
and industry leader. In particular, it aims to provide a snapshot of the environmental,
social and cultural and economic sustainability of the industry and the governance and stakeholder dialogue
performance of VAFI during the past year. It is also a tool to facilitate better dialogue
among industry, government and the community; and to provide a resource
to support better decision making and continual improvement.
The 2011 Sustainability Report has been structured to provide an updated industry profile and to fully
benchmark industry performance as best as is possible; providing a broad snapshot of all aspects of the industry
in Victoria.
