Sustainability Reports

The annually released VAFI Sustainability Report aims to provide an understanding of the timber industry in Victoria and the role of the Assocation as a representative body and an industry leader; providing a snapshot of the environmental, social and cultural and economic performance of the timber industry, and the governance and stakeholder dialogue performance of the VAFI. It is also a tool to facilitate better dialogue among industry, government and the community, and a resource to support better decision making and continual improvement. Sustainability reports are important benchmarks that help the VAFI to reflect on our own and the industry’s performance over time, and to develop new strategies and activities to improve that performance.

The VAFI has been undertaking sustainability reporting since 2005, as part of the Association's Vision 2025 strategy and commitments. A sustainability report measures progress against goals established by the organisation in governance, economic, social and environmental performance, and introduces new sustainability goals for the future.

Our goals are to develop a strong and sustainable timber industry in Victoria and this report provides information on the progress of the industry and the activities of the VAFI and its members.
